So, do you remember the tin I created just a week or so ago for my mother? Well, I decided to give it to my parents today for their 45th wedding anniversary! Well, of course I had to have a card to go along with it. So, this morning before we left for our big day, I created this card.
First, I gathered my supplies. I knew I would use the same papers that I did for the tin--the beautiful Memory Box Dewfrost paper. Then I wanted to use the new Memory Box Advent Calendar {CL143} clear stamp set so that I could put the number of years they have been married on the card. I also added some miscellaneous lace that was sitting on my desk.
Then I trimmed the papers, inked the edges in a bit of Palette ink, and then I attached them to a Memory Box opal notecard.
Next, I stamped "45" on a light piece of Dewfrost paper. After stamping, I ran the paper through my printer to add the word "years."
To finish, I attached the lace, a metal photo corner, and the sentiment. I used my Nestabilities to cut out the sentiment and then added two brads to match the photo corner.
And here is how the card looks with the tin:
Papers: Memory Box Dewfrost, Memory Box opal notecard
Stamp Ink: Palette ink
Embellishments: We R Memory Keepers metal photo corner and brads, misc. lace, Nestabilities label die
Simple and quick, and it was a hit with Mom and Dad! I hope you enjoyed today's quick card. Have a great Thursday evening, and I will be back soon with another Memory Box creation!
How beautiful!! What a great card & gift. What a treasure for them. Can't wait to try one of the tins for myself.
