With school starting and September joining us tomorrow, Fall is certainly on the way. I thought it would be fun to create a Fall card for you today using our new Tree Border stamp {D1277} and the new Twilight 6x6 papers.
To start my card, I stamped the Tree Border stamp onto my watercolor paper. Then I used my Derwent Watercolor pencils to color in the image.
Next I tore off the bottom of the watercolor paper. I also trimmed a piece of Twilight paper to fit my Vanilla Bean notecard. I then inked the edges of the Twilight paper with Memento rich cocoa ink.
Next, I adhered the image to the piece of Twilight paper, and I took some DMC floss and add a few hand-sewn stitches. I also added a rub-on sentiment.
To finish, I added a ribbon and adhered the entire piece to a Memory Box Vanilla Bean notecard.
Papers: Memory Box vanilla bean notecard, Memory Box Twilight, Strathmore watercolor paper
Stamps: Memory Box Tree Border D1277
Stamp Ink: Memento rich cocoa
Embellishments: Derwent watercolor pencils, misc. ribbon, Pink Paislee Captivating rub-on sentiment, DMC floss
If you don't have the Twilight papers or the Tree Border stamp yet, this are must haves. Just think of the fun things you can do with those trees! :) Have a great afternoon, and see you later this week!
Your cards always catch my eye and are so cute! Thanks for the detailed instructions - its always fun to read and be thrilled with the final product.
