Today I wanted to share a Christmas card I created using a popsicle stick. This is the second card I have created using a popsicle stick, and I really think they are fun to use. I also used two of the new Memory Box releases--the 6x6 Dewfrost paperpack and the new Snowy Eve clear stamp set {CL142}.
To start, I stamped just two letters from the "Christmas" stamp onto five different papers from the Dewfrost paperpack. I added the decorative leaf stamp from the same set to the "s" at the end since there was only one letter on the last piece of patterned paper. It also added a nice decorative element to the card.
Then I cut the pieces into strips and inked the edges of each strip.
Next I painted Twinkling H20s onto the snowflake and stamped it onto scraps of paper remaining from the strips I cut above. The paint does stain the clear stamps but it does not affect the image at all when stamping. After stamping the snowflakes, I cut them out and set them aside to use on my card.
Then to dress up the kraft card a bit, I stamped the words with VersaMark onto the card. Notice how I stamped the image upside down on the left hand side. Yes, the words will be upside down; however, they will mostly be covered up, and you cannot tell that it is upside down. It ends up just giving a nice, subtle design to the kraft notecard.
Then to finish, I adhered the strips of paper to my card, added the popsicle, some hemp, and the snowflakes. I also added a Memory Box pearl to the center of each snowflake for added decoration. Here is how my card turned out:
Papers: Memory Box kraft notecard; Memory Box Dewfrost
Stamps: Memory Box Snowy Eve CL142
Stamp Ink: Versamark, Versafine vintage sepia
Embellishments: LuminArte Twinkling H20s cinnamon brown, popsicle stick, Memory Box frost blue pearls, hemp from Hobby Lobby
I am really having fun using kraft and blues together for my Christmas cards. I also love using the popsicle stick! I hope you enjoy continuing to see the new releases! Thanks for stopping by, and see you again later this week!
Very cute! Love the design!

What a very creative idea. I'm not sure I would be able to come up with a an idea for a card design using a posicle stick. I enjoyed looking at your card though. :)

anyone knows for sure I would love to know. He is from a litter that was born at camp in June and came to live with us this past weekend. NONE of us have any bunny experience so any helpful suggestions, comments are more than welcome.
