Monday, I shared a Christmas thank you using our new Spiceberry papers and wonderful Christmas stamps. Today, I thought I would share a Fall thank you card using our new Twilight papers and another new holiday stamp.
First, I decided to use watercolor paper for some fun texture. You will see as I finish what I mean. I stamped my image onto the watercolor paper and also onto the back of a sheet of Twilight paper. The stamp I used is the new Shady Window stamp {D1274}.
You will notice that one image is not stamped completely. That is okay because I just want to cut out the window shade portion. Next, I used my Prismacolor pencils to color in the pumpkin and the window frame. I also cut out the piece of paper that had the partial stamped image on the back of the Twilight paper. I used that to piece my window shade.
Then I gathered my embellishments, notecard, and other design from the Twilight paper pack. I then stamped a sentiment onto the watercolor paper below the window using the Memory Box Thank You stamp {B1055}.
After adhering everything to my card, here is how it turned out:
Papers: Strathmore Watercolor paper, Memory Box jack o lantern notecard; Memory Box Twilight
Stamps: Memory Box Shady Window D1274, Memory Box Thank You B1055
Stamp Ink: SU more mustard, Memento rich cocoa
Embellishments: Memory Box Halloween jewels, misc. ribbon, Prismacolor pencils, SU corner punch, We R Memory Keepers metal hardware
You may notice in the close-up photo that the coloring doesn't look really smooth. I did use baby oil and a blending stump but I still wanted a bit of roughness to it so that it would look like worn wood. That is another reason I did not use my watercolor pencils.
I hope you have enjoyed the two holiday notecards I have posted this week. These would both make a great set to give to someone as a gift. Have a great Thursday, and see you soon with another holiday creation using the Memory Box new releases!
I love this little card, Patter! That stamp is so unique and cool! Love it! Great job.
Hugs,
Chelsea
