Okay, so on Wednesday, I showed you how I embossed my Memory Box cardstock and used several shades of green. Today I want to take it one step further and show you how the cardstock looks when embossed and sanded!
Since Memory Box cardstock has a white core, sanding can really give you a fun look. Keep in mind though that lighter colors will not give you near the effect that darker colors will. Here is how I started my card. First, I embossed a piece of Memory Box vanilla bean cardstock. Then I began sanding it. Look at the difference between the left-hand portion that has been sanded and the right hand-portion that has only been embossed:
See how the white core is starting to show? After I finished sanding, I then put this simple card together using Memory Box Fernbrae papers and pearl stickers. I added a fun ribbon, and there you have it.
Papers: Memory Box Co. Fernbrae, Memory Box vanilla bean and endive cardstock
Tools: Cuttlebug floral screen embossing folder, A Muse stamp positioner
Stamps: Memory Box Co. Thank You (B1055)
Stamp Ink: Stampin' Up! chocolate chip
Embellishments: ribbon from Ribbon Retreat, Memory Box pearl stickers white
I hope you enjoy this look and maybe even try sanding yourself. Thanks for stopping by, and see you next time with another fun card!
Embossed WOW! I would love to know how to do that, but I have no idea where to start.
Love looking at your stuff.

Ally, you are too sweet. Thank you! The embossing was done with my Cuttlebug and a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Super easy and fast, and the Memory Box papers work BEAUTIFULLY for embossing! I hope that answers your question. :)
