I've already explained my glitter phobia in a previous post. That being said, I seem to be using glitter in a lot of cards! For this particular card though, the glitter is safely contained behind a piece of acetate.
To make this card, I stamped the Sonoma Print (C1311) repeatedly onto some acetate using white Staz On ink. When stamping onto acetate, sometimes your stamp will slip around a bit because of the slick surface. One trick to avoid slipping is to ink your stamp, let it sit a bit, then stamp it onto the acetate. For some reason, letting the ink sit just a bit reduces how much it will slide around on the acetate. I let the ink dry and then ran the acetate through my Xyron so that my acetate would have a strong adhesive on the back. I then added a ton of Art Glitter to the back of the acetate. Here is a close up of the stamping and the glitter:
To layer my card, I added a piece of metallic silver cardstock behind the acetate. Tip...add the adhesive to the cardstock and not the acetate with the glitter. If you add glue to the glitter, it will just make a mess!
