I thought I would take a quick break from making cards and post something that would make a nice little gift for a friend. I altered a clear paint can, but you could just as easily decorate a box or bag the same way.
For my gift, I added some self-adhesive ribbon to the bottom and loaded the can with peppermints.
Here is a close-up of the top:
To decorate the top, I punched out a circle from white cardstock that would fit onto the top of the tin. I then stamped it with Deer Friends (C1290) and the coordinating saing using brown VersaFine ink. I colored the deer with colored pencils and then adhered the circle to the top of the can using a gluestick. As a final touch, I squirted a ton of Diamond Glaze onto the top, removed the air bubbles with a pin, and let it set overnight. The Diamond Glaze dried and left a hard shellac to the top of the project.
One other suggestion...this deer stamp also makes really cute gift tags!
That is adorable. Are those the mini paint cans that Angela is selling at the store? Great idea for a little gift, I have that stamp too. May have to case this.
