I am very exited to post a card using some of the brand new "What's in the Box" paper. For today's card, I chose to use a selection of patterns from the Fernbrae 6" x 6" paper collection. The Fernbrae pack is loaded with floral and antique prints, and when I saw the paper that reminded me of raindrops, I knew I wanted to pair it with my umbrella penguin (C1074).
To make this card, I stamped the penguin repeatedly onto various Fernbrae patterns and then cut out an umbrella, rain jacket, and rain jacket trim from the papers. I then layered the papers onto a penguin I had stamped onto white cardstock. I finished the card by adding a saying (B1079), coloring the feet and bill with an orange colored pencil, and layering everything onto a Dill notecard. I think it the umbrella penguin stamp makes a cute "under the weather" card for someone who isn't feeling well.
Here is a close-up of the paper patterns so you can see how I paper pieced the penguin:
Seriously - those drops are paper? not stamped/drawn or colored? You have a great eye for design little missy.
Great card and I'm stealing the idea!

That is so cute, love the paper piecing. How did you cut it out so perfectly?!
