I am a big fan of nature and butterflies, so I'm happy to share a couple projects with you that Jenny did using these subjects. I've received so many emails about Jenny being a wonderful instructor - and always full of good ideas. Today's cards are no exception!
Jenny did some intricate colored pencil work on the Periwinkle Butterfly (B1181) - doesn't it look great mounted on the brown background?
Here she even cut out the antennae on the C1714 Cocoa Bean Butterfly! What a pro! The background is the G1353 Garden Cutaway stamped in brown ink and highlighted with white colored pencils.
She finished it off with a nice sentiment stamp (B1359 Wishing you...).
For a great birthday card, try this idea from Jenny! The Dandelion D1046, embossed in white on a soft blue cardstock, is stamped with the B847 Birthday Wishes stamp.
Sponging the image with blue ink after the dandelion was embossed makes the white embossing really stand out.
Though I've worked with Jenny for a few years now, I've never actually met her in person...or so I thought until a few weeks ago when she emailed me a picture. She had been going through some old photos and had come across some pictures of a trip to Seattle in the 90's, when she had visited the Impress Rubber Stamps store in downtown Seattle that I worked at. If you look closely, you can see my arm, holding a phone to my ear in the background at the cash wrap (Jenny is smiling at the camera). So, we actually had met a long time ago.
As you can tell - it must have been in October, the store was all decked out for Halloween so that customers could get all of their supplies for Halloween greeting cards!

love the photo! i had no idea you were a "WL" guy, i though you were strictly "TUK".

Wow, the store in downtown Seattle, Dave!? Think that's where I first met you. Then I took my first class, stamping on the lamp shade. Still have it. You've come a long way, baby. Loving you. "your other mom, joanie"
