Hello and welcome back to my Tuesday guest blog. I appreciate all of you that stop by to visit. I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday weekend. I got to play with some of the new crystal clear stamp sets this week & let me just say, you are going to love them!! There are so many fun images in these new sets, it was hard to pick which one to start with. In my project this week, all images are from the "Little Birdie" (CL133) Clear set except for the "thanks" sentiment, and that came out of the "Hear Me Roar" (CL131) clear set. I wanted to keep the design simple, but use some bright, fun colors to really show off this beautiful & unique new flower image. The thing I love about this flower is, you can create so many different looks just by the way you color the flower or choose to embellish it.
The coloring is slightly off in my photo, but it gives you a basic idea on colors.
Start with a Raspberry note card. Stamp the larger "circle burst" image (from Little Birdie Clear set) randomly on Raspberry note card (I used Memento Rose Bud ink). Cut a strip of Tangerine Biscotti paper to 4.25" x 1". Tie with ribbon if desired. I used black grosgrain in this case. Adhere to your Raspberry note card. Cut a piece of white card stock to 2" x 2.5". Stamp your flower image (I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink) & color how you desire. I used Copics in this project. I stamped the "thanks" sentiment in Memento Tuxedo black & stamped the smaller "burst" image just to the left for fun using Memento Rose Bud ink. I added a strip of Grass Jewels (15509) across the bottom for some sparkle. Adhere your white piece to a black piece of card stock cut slightly larger & adhere to the Raspberry base.
Be sure to check out Dave's post below where there are some wonderful card samples using the new clear sets!! See you again next Tuesday. Enjoy your day!

We've been really busy in the design studio cranking out samples with the new clear sets! I am always amazed at how wonderfully these stamps are for positioning and making little scenes.

Hello everyone-
I hope you have had a great week so far and for those of you in the US I'm sure you are looking forward to the long three-day weekend (well some of us anyway). We had two days of unusually HOT May weather in Minnesota this week. It reached 96 degrees on Tuesday and it was really hot and windy on Wednesday...kind of a strange combination!!
I will not bore you any longer and get on with my card details. As always thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment if you would be so kind. Its always greatly appreciated and its not that difficult or too time consuming!! It really takes me a long time to do all this but who's complaining??!! I like the challenge of trying to figure out Typepad and coming up with a new Memory Box card every week!! Heck it keeps me out of trouble (stamp, ribbon, and paper shopping)...LOL!! I really do enjoy being a guest blogger for Dave and appreciate all of you!! Do you know there are a total of five amazing Memory Box blogs just packed with all kinds of inspiration and beautiful samples? I myself need to spend some more time on these other fabulous Memory Box blogs and leave the other gals some *blog love* while I'm at it!! Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy reading about my card (hopefully you will like it too) and I'll *see you* again next Friday!! My laptop has been acting up all week and its so nerve racking. Have a pleasant and safe holiday weekend. Me...I'll be stamping up a storm as I have another class on Sunday. Stay COOL my friends and thanks for coming by for a peek peeps!! Sunshine wishes and oh happy day!! Tami :']

Hi everyone!! Are you ready for a little Tuesday inspiration? I have a fairly simple project this week. I was playing around with the Parsley Sprig (C1262) image on some scrap paper & realized that it could be used to make some meadow-like grass, so I played around with that idea on today's card. I also used the adorable little Nutty Squirrel (D1251) from the Woodland Springtime release. I really adore this sweet squirrel image! I also love how you get an acorn image on the side of the wood block. Definitely a "must have" image!!
Start with a Robin's Egg note card. Cut a piece of Biscotti Lavender paper to 4" x 2 5/8". Adhere to Vanilla Bean card stock cut to a slightly larger size. Then adhere that piece to your Robin's Egg note card. Cut a piece of Sweetbay paper to apx. 2 1/2" x 3". Randomly stamp your Parsley Sprig image to create the meadow-like grass (I used Memento New Sprout ink). Stamp your squirrel image onto the Sweetbay piece (no need to color in), then stamp the squirrel image again onto white card stock, color & cut out (I used Memento Rich Cocoa ink & colored pencils). Adhere your colored image onto your "blank" squirrel image. I paper pieced some Biscotti Lavender paper for the apron. Cut a piece of white card stock to apx. 2 1/2" x 1/2" and stamp Good Things (B1248)sentiment onto that piece leaving some space to add your acorn (I used Memento Lulu Lavender). I stamped the single acorn onto a scrap piece of white card stock using Memento Rich Cocoa ink, colored with colored pencils & cut out. I popped up with a dimensional sticker & added to my sentiment piece. I curled the sentiment piece for fun & adhered to my Sweetbay piece. Adhere the Sweetbay piece to a piece of Vanilla Bean card stock cut slightly larger, then again to a piece of white card stock cut slightly larger. I adhered that piece to the Robin's Egg note card using dimensionals.
I hope you've enjoyed today's card. I will see you again next week!!

There is something about the new Spriggle image that makes me smile. Just the name Spriggle makes me happy. When I first saw the images for the Sparkly Bird Bonanza release, the Spriggle image caught my eye. It is just really different and fun. It is also perfect for embellishing with Memory Box Pearls & Jewels. A great thing about the Memory Box Pearls & Jewels is you really get A LOT in a package. I used a bunch for my project today, but it didn’t make much of a dent in the packs I used. I would highly recommend picking some up if you haven’t already & they come in some beautiful colors!!
For my project this week, I worked with one of my favorite color combinations, brown & blue. I actually like a chocolate brown with just about any color. What about you, do you have a favorite color combination? I would love for you to share your favorites!! Thanks for stopping by & enjoy your day!!
Start with a Blue Poppy note card. Cut a piece of Biscotti paper (apx. 2 1/8” x 5 1/8”) in Water (14005) & stamp the Spriggle (C1259) image with Brown & Blue ink onto that piece. I used Memento ink in Rich Cocoa & Summer Sky. I embellished the stamped Spriggle images with Frost (15517) & White (15511) pearls & Diamond (15501) jewels. I sponged the edge slightly & also went over the stamped images with Spica Glitter pens. Cut a piece of Vanilla Bean card stock to apx. 1 ¾” x 5 1/8”. I embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots & sanded down the dots slightly & colored each with Copic Marker B21. I adhered both pieces down to my Blue Poppy note card leaving an apx 1/8” gap in between the two. I stamped butterfly images from the Butterfly Kisses set onto white card stock with Memento Summer Sky ink & cut out. I stamped the body of the butterfly in Memento Rich Cocoa & cut out. I used my Spica Glitter pens again on the butterfly & embellished with White (15511) pearls & Diamond (15501) jewels. I think the Butterfly Kisses set may be retired, I would have to check that with Dave, but it may still be available at you local stamping store & I have seen it on-line as well. Any of the Memory Box Butterfly images would work perfectly. I gently scored the wings so I could have them pointing slightly upward. After assembling the each butterfly, I cut a thin strip of dimensional foam sticker & placed it on the underside of the butterfly body & adhered each butterfly to the polka dot piece.
See you next Tuesday!! :)
