Hello friends-
I just finished watching the Scripps National Spelling Bee and it ended the same time I finished my card. Ironically I designed my card this week using a beautiful piece of Dave's 6 x 6" Poppyfinch paper and it has part of the alphabet on it. I say way to go Tami!! I matched my card to a TV program!! I know boring right but I love watching those young spellers ace those ginormous words!! OK back to the card. First I must say I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Poppyfinch paper collection and have had my eyes on this particular piece of paper for quite some time. I decided it was time to score it in half and make a card out of the paper. Then I decided to "kick it up a notch". It took me quite awhile to get all *the little details* just right but I am quite pleased at how it came out. And, I have my Mom's birthday card made a month and a half early!! I promise you this card looks much betterin person. I am working on getting a digital camera or locating my old one so I can photograph my cards instead of scanning and cropping them. I hope you will enjoy my card as I'm quite fussy. Just ask my stampy friends but we won't go there right now!!
I had another busy week teaching classes and whatnot. It hit close to 80 degrees on Thursday and it sure was a hot one!! I managed to squeeze in *a little shopping* this week (imagine that?). I hope you all have a great and suntastic weekend. I am leaving town on Friday with a friend and we are going to a "chick flick two-day crop." I am so excited!! I appreciate you stopping by so please leave me a *little* love if you would be so kind. See you next Friday...same day, same place. Tami

Layer white Cuttlebugged circle to a Begoniacircle (I used a notecard) and glue on card as shown. Add Canary and Pistachio jewels to the butterfly. Punch out a photo corner using a Begonia scrap and distress with Creamy Brown ink. Glue on card and then apply three Babypink pearls. Outline butterfly, photo corner, and pink circle with the Spica Glitter pens (new colors) listed above. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment inside the card using Vintage Sepia ink. It was hard for me not to use ribbon on this card but I liked it as is and hopefully you will too!! Thanks again for visiting the Memory Box blog. : ) Smile its Friday!!
I love it and it didn't need the ribbon! Laurel @ Create-A-Card Studio
