Hello and welcome crafty friends,
The Batavia Snowbreeze die is once again featured on our blog. In the last several days it has been in the spotlight on this blog by different designers (we never know which dies are being featured by one another until it posts) and guess what? same die but very different designs, colors and techniques on each card. Take a look back on this blog and you'll see what I mean.
This holiday season I am drawn to colors of gold and rose gold. I bought some new holiday decor and rose gold is my favorite color theme. Here's a card with those colors in mind.
Layers, layers and more layers...I can't help it. I started with a top fold ivory note card, die cut the Batavia Snow Breeze along the right edge and gold embossed the Christmas sentiment.
Beneath the ivory layer, I added some beautiful gold glitter paper that peeks through the snowflakes, tiny breeze circles and the side edges. One more layer of metallic chocolate card stock was added behind the glitter paper because I planned on using the sequin mix with the chocolate sequins (my fav). This sequin mix is from Birch Press and is called "Not so heavy metal".
As a final layer, I added three gold Batavia Snowflakes postitioned over the beautiful Snowbreeze design. A few sequins later and I'm ready to send this and other cards out for the holidays!
Thanks for stopping by and I will be back right after Christmas---very warm holiday wishes to you and your family.
