Fall in all its glory is here in Maine! The colors on the trees are spectacular! And I've created three cards for today that celebrate autumn. The key component on each card is an image of a plant called Chinese Lanterns from the new Studio Clear Stamps Set GARDEN SKETCHES CL5204 and the coordinating die from GARDEN SKETCHES DIE SET 32204.
For this card I stamped the Chinese Lanterns three times on cream cardstock and colored them with orange Prismacolor pencils before die cutting them. I used small pop dots behind each "lantern"and arranged the three stems in an arc near the top edge of a top-folded Concord Grape notecard. I then cut the STITCHED FARM PUMPKINS 99882 once from a dark orange cardstock and again from Mango Distressed Dots paper and layered them together. I glued the medium-sized ones to the notecard and popped on the larger and smaller pumpkins. I cut AUTUMN GREETINGS 99880 twice using scraps from a Jack O' Lantern notecard and glued them together before adding them to complete the design.
For this card I used the same dies but arranged the images differently. Because I used a Jack O' Lantern notecard as the base, I put the sentiment on a strip of mango distressed dot paper before adding the Chinese Lanterns and the pumpkins.
Card Three: For this card I added the CIRCLE WEB COLLAGE 99881 cut out within a larger circle from the CIRCLE LAYERS DIE SET. And I wrapped the Chinese Lanterns around the left side of the web.
This is my favorite season of the year and I love making cards in my favorite fall colors. I can use these cards for a number of purposes--thank you notes, birthday cards, thinking of you messages, and more. These cards have got me thinking about using these images for Halloween treat bags and tags. So it's back to work!!!
