Greetings friends. Today I wanted to talk a bit about choosing color palettes to get vastly different results. Therefore, I decided to use the exact same dies and layout to create one card that was perfect for Halloween and one that would work for Fall or Thanksgiving.
For both cards, I used the Bubble Burst die, which is a favorite die of mine to focus attention to an element on the card. The shape of the die draws your eye in to the pumpkins on the card. With the Halloween card, I used an orange card with a black layer. When you cut out the Bubble Burst from the black layer, the orange card shows through the little circles. I didn't glue individual circles to the card, which would have taken forever to do! Next, I added pumpkins from the new Stitched Farm Pumpkins set. I like these pumpkins because the stitching really shows up well when you die cut them. As a finishing touch I added sequins from the Birch Press Fairy Sparkle collection.
Next, I made a Fall pumpkin card:
I made the card exactly the same way as the first, but this time I used a dark brown notecard and a kraft cardstock layer. The sequins I used were from the Birch Press Not So Heavy Metal collection.
I hope try playing around with color palettes to see all the different results you can achieve!
