Versatile Memory Box Ovals - Single Deer, Dancing Snowflake and Stitched Oval Layers - add a classic, traditional look to holiday cards. They make it quiick and easy to create dimensional winter scenes like this one. Hello, Jean Okimoto here, with another idea featuring the new Single Deer Oval.
Cut the second-largest Stitched Oval Layer from chartreuse cardstock.
Cut Dancing Snowflake Oval from watercolor paper - leave the diecut in the die. Dry-emboss it for extra dimension using the rubber embossing mat and plates required for your machine. Here's the stacking sequence I used for my Platinum - platform, diecut in the die (face-up), rubber embossing mat, purple embossing plate.
Cut Single Deer Oval from dark kraft cardstock.
Attach the ovals to a Parsley Notecard, offsetting the Single Deer Oval slightly to the right - and use foam dots behind the deer's head - for some shadowy dimension.
Place the Curled Ribbons die behind a scrap of red glittered craft foam and cut a portion of the ribbon so it curls up and towards the left. Trim it to create a scarf.
Add gold gem stickers.
I always try to get the most from my Memory Box designs and want to share these ideas with you. I love how easy it is to combine them in unique ways by layering or altering them to become something entirely different.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by my table to make a 2017 Holiday Collection card at the Impress Holiday Kickoff last weekend. Hope you liked it, and were inspired to glitter your way through the holidays!
