The new Bird Sanctuary Clear Stamp Set and Die Set are ready for your summer cards - and we can't wait to share our ideas with you!  Hello and Happy 4th of July if you're celebrating today - Jean Okimoto here with one of many designs featuring the 5 new clear stamp sets and and 2 coordinating die sets.

Stamp the bird on watercolor paper with Onyx Black VersaFine and emboss it with detail clear powder.  Cut it with the matching die - leave the paper in the die.  Use the die as a stencil and sponge Broken China and Peeled Paint Distress Oxides lightly onto the bird.  The ink stays inside the lines this way.

Sponge Peeled Paint lightly onto the branch.  Use a waterbrush to paint a light layer of Fired Brick Distress Oxide over the green...now it's brown!

Paint the beak with Spiced Marmalade.

Blend the colors of the bird with a waterbrush for a soft watercolored look.  (I hope!)

Here's a tip - tape the inside of the Grove Collage die to the front of the open card for diecutting.  The center portion will be cut out, then tossed - so it's OK if the tape damages that section.  Attach the bird to a top-folded light green A-2 card.

Use a stamp positioner to stamp the "Hello friend" - from the Bird Sanctuary Clear Stamp Set - onto the inside of the card with Peeled Paint.  Heat-set it.  Repeat the process with the "I'm here for you" stamp.

Attach pale aqua gem stickers.
