Happy Easter
by Donna

Good morning everyone!

It is hard to believe Easter is this weekend!  Last weekend our yard was covered in snow, and now Easter Sunday is supposed to be 80 degrees. Welcome to New England!  Let's make an Easter card in honor of this crazy season.

Happy easter egg

To make this card die cut the egg in the middle of a white cardstock layer and removed the Happy Easter Egg die cut. Using Wilted Violet distress ink, sponge a watercolor card layer that is cut slightly bigger than the egg layer. Spatter with gold ink and plain water.  Using a Krylon Gold pen, ink the outside edges of the watercolor paper. Glue the white die cut egg layer to the watercolor paper, spatter with gold ink, and adhere the Happy Easter die cut into the egg cut out.  For the flowers, die cut the Antilles Floral Border and the Climbing Vine several times from watercolor paper.  Color the flowers and the vines using distress inks. Cut the flowers off their stems and layer two flowers on top of each other to create each bloom, and cut the vines into pieces to fit around the egg shape.

To assemble the card, tie a green ribbon around the card front and glue the vines, bow and flowers to the card. Glue this to a white card base using foam tape. The centers of the flowers are made with gold nuvo crystal drops.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you all have a Happy Easter!

P.S. I am sorry that I didn't realize the Happy Easter Egg die that I used was discontinued, but you can create the same look using the the Half a Dozen Egg die set and the Happy Easter Journal Script die.
