Whirling Butterfly
by Penny Ward

Butterfly-squiggle

Hey there Memory Box friends. So I get out one of my favorite stencils and some Creative Medium paste. I mean really...are you loving that background?!? Softened the whole look with that beautiful Whirling Butterfly. So simple, I may have to mass produce this one.

Let's get to it:

Start with a Black card base. Trim White cardstock 4 x 5.25 inches.

Using the Distressed Grid stencil, begin adding Creative Medium in Copper, Gold and Bronze until you are happy with the look. Let dry.

Die cut Whirling Butterfly Silhouette from Rust & Black cardstocks, offset slightly and adhere together. Glue to card front.

Add a small amount of Copper Creative Medium to a scrap of Rust cardstock, let dry, then diecut with the second smallest butterfly from the Morning Garden Butterflies set. Adhere to card over the swirl.

Die cut two Grosgrain Ribbons as shown, stamp and heat emboss sentiment from the Hope & Thanks set by Poppystamps. Adhere to card front with a small staple.

This would make a great "manly" card, even with the butterfly. :)

Happy Crafting,

Pennysignature
