Good morning Memory Box fans! For those celebrating Thanksgiving on Thursday, Happy Thanksgiving and may your day be filled with love, family and friends.
For today's Christmas card, I used the gorgeous Poinsettia Pillar and the Radiant frame die. I wanted to go with a different color scheme than my usual so opted for black cardstock as the background and lighter colors on the foreground. And I finally used my fancy expensive paper, you know the ones we all hoard because it's so shiny and pretty we just want to stare at it and never use it? Come on admit, you have a stash of these papers somewhere!!
The Radiant Frame fills the front of an A2 sized card. I put 2 sided adhesive on the paper before running it through the die cutting machine to keep myself from fighting with the paper and glue while trying to put it on the cardstock straight.
I cut the frame of the Poinsettia Pillar with silver metallic paper first to get the frame portion of the candle. The cut the white and green papers to make the candle and the leaves. For the frame cut (silver portion) I would recommend using 2 sided adhesive sheets on the paper first and then die cutting so your adhesive is already attached which will make adhering to the cardbase easier. The berries were made with red stickles and gray liquid pearls.
I used the extra frame from the white card stock and popped it into the inside of the card....see I didn't waste my pricey fancy paper afterall! Thanks for swinging by today and have a great Thanksgiving.
