White Stag

Yay, it's Friday...anyone else feel that way?  It's been soooo hot here in San Diego this week so let's fool ourselves with this snowy scene---maybe it will cool us off a bit (right).

As you will see there are only three dies used on this card and I have shown the dies at the bottom of this page for you.  I'd say this is one of those cards you could make quickly in multiples if you cut all the pieces out first and finished them in an "assembly line" fashion.

White Stag-J GriffithsLets start

  1. Die cut the Woodland Oval into a 4" X 5 1/4" white flat panel, centered.
  2. Position the die cut panel onto the front of a folded note card centered, adhere with repositional adhesive.  Place the Woodland Oval die into position on the white panel, run through die cut machine to cut notecard layer.  tip: tape die onto paper before cutting to insure correct placement.  When positioning the die onto the white precut panel, move the die until you feel it "lock" into place, then secure with repositional tape.
  3. Open the notecard flat, run it through the die cut machine to cut the notecard layer.  Gently remove tape securing die.
  4. Adhere white panel to notecard aligning trees, using permanent adhesive.
  5. Adhere Mama and Baby deer to front of card as shown.
  6. Adhere Deer in the Trees and silvery moon to inside of card, positioning trees and stag while checking for visibility when the card closes.
  7. Add sequin snowflakes randomly.

Here is a view of the inside of the card:

This White Stag is so stately, I'd love to come across real deer in nature like the scene on this card.

The snowflakes are working their magic--I'm feeling cooler already.

Happy Friday and thanks for stopping by today.
