Pretty Pippi and Isabella Butterflies...

Hello everyone,

Today I'm going to share one of the cards that I am teaching at Ink About It on April 4th.  If you are local, it would be great to have you there.  We'll be making three cards that will be perfect for Spring birthdays, Mother's day, Easter....any occasion.

It uses the 2 new butterfly dies in the 2013 release.  Isabella(#98507) is a solid butterfly and Pippa(#98508) is a lacy topper with the same silhouette as Isabella.  They can be used alone or together.  Both have the separate body included.  On my card I cut Isabella out of double sided sticky paper.  I adhered it to my card with one sticky side and then glittered the top.  I cut Isabella out of pink metallic paper and adhered it's center to the glittered base.   I used a Copic marker to darken the body and used liquid adhesive to adhere it.

Here is a more detailed shot of the card.  The butterflies have a nice dimensional look and the glitter really catchs the light.

I cut the the Catalina Border die (#98123) out of cream metallic card stock and used that as foliage for the butterflies.  I stamped "Miracles of Springtime" (#B1766) in black ink above a glittered piece of double sided tape on the bottom right.  The fabric tape is from Maya Road and the patterned paper is from Crate Paper. The glitter is from Art Glitter.

Thanks for stopping by!
