It's great that the collections mesh so well together. Here's a card that could be adapted for a baby shower card with a few changes:
The background looks blue but it is really the new Slate notecard. This is an easy card to make. Who wouldn't be cheered by a floating elephant with a polka dotted umbrella. If you left the clouds white and changed the sentiment, this could be a baby shower invitation. (I like versatility.) The umbrella die cut has cut outs to easily make it look dimensional.
Details: Stamp Bubba elephant on gray designer paper. Line up template and cut out elephant with Bubba die. Color tongue and toe nails with Copic R21 and chalk cheeks and inner ear. Cut umbrella from Squash dotted card stock. The sentiment is computer generated and layered on black card stock. Separate cloud die into three pieces and tape in desired postion onto Bluebird distressed dots rectangle. Run through die cutting machine. Place die cut Bluebird rectangle over textured white cardstock rectangle. Lightly trace clouds with pencil. Chalk clouds with shades of gray until they look the way you want them to look. Erase pencil marks and chalk the edges of clouds that were removed when you erased the pencil. Pop dot elephant on the blue background. Place foam tape in sections of umbrella, to add dimension. Layer all on slate notecard. (My son dubbed the elephant Dumbo Poppins.) I was going to add grass under his feet but I thought floating was a better option.
Supplies:
- Slate note card
- Squash Dots card stock (umbrella)
- Bluebird Distressed Dots (background)
- 6x6 Pixie paper pack (elephant)
- D1741 Bubba Elephant stamp
- 98133 Bubba Elephant die

Hope you've been able to see and play with the new collection. Enjoy your weekend and Happy Stamping!
